UW Course Planner

Terms of use

Last updated October 10, 2026

By creating an account or using UW Course Planner, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

Unofficial, and not advice

This site is not affiliated with or endorsed by the University of Washington. Course data, degree requirements, AP credit rules and the degree audit may be incomplete, wrong or out of date. They are not a degree evaluation. Always confirm with DARS, MyPlan and your adviser before you register or make decisions about your degree.

Your account

  • You need a valid email address. One account per person.
  • Keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time from the Account page.

No registration

The planner never registers you for classes. Don't use it, or anything built on it, to automate enrollment, run registration or seat-watching bots, or get around UW systems.

Acceptable use

  • Don't attack, overload or probe the service, or try to access other people's data.
  • Don't scrape the site or send automated requests beyond normal use.
  • Don't use the service to break the law or UW policy.

We may suspend or delete accounts that break these rules or put the service at risk.

Your content

Your plans and the data you enter stay yours. You let us store and process them only to run the service for you. See the privacy policy for details.

Course and schedule information comes from the University of Washington's public catalog and Time Schedule and belongs to UW.

No warranty, limited liability

The service is free and provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for missed requirements, delayed graduation, lost data, or any other loss that comes from using or relying on it.

Changes to the service and these terms

The service may change, pause or shut down. If it shuts down, we'll try to give notice so you can export your data. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept it.
